The Buddha’s Teaching Throne

An aspiration — yet to be initiated.

A teaching throne is envisioned for Lapis — a seat to commemorate the Buddha’s great kindness in choosing to teach.

Rather than keeping silent after his awakening, he turned the Wheel of Dharma for the benefit of all beings. This throne would stand as a tribute to that extraordinary act of compassion — the sharing of a path to freedom.

The idea for this project was offered by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche. It remains an aspiration for Lapis.
